I am in headache hell from my lumbar puncture. I have called the hospital and am waiting for a nurse to call me back. I will blog as soon as I can open my eyes properly.
Drink lots and lots of water and stay laying down hon, unfortunately the hospital will probably tell you to see your Dr - mine gave me Tramadol and two weeks off work *hugs*
Yeah, they did. I told them that my Doc is rubbish so I cant face going there. I have to get a heart monitor fitted at a different hospital later today so she suggested A&E. The headache is bad enough (making me feel sick) but the back pain is really awful. I am sure it will pass in a couple of days. Thanks sweetie <3 xxx
Lay down on your back and drink as much water as you can. If that doesn't help, ask them to give you a 'blood patch' if the headaches don't go away. That is what they had to do for me. My headaches were so bad they made me sick for a few days. Dr. gave me powerful drugs that made my sickness even worse.
Went to ER and they drew blood and then 'plugged' the lumbar puncture site with the blood patch.
